Yes. Lots of biochemical changes are occurring in your body including detoxification and the transition from a sugar burner to a fat burner. Just as with anything, it takes a little time to adjust.
There are a number of things you can do to minimize these symptoms, including:
- Make sure you are drinking enough water. Even slight dehydration can exacerbate these symptoms. We recommend approximately ½ of your ideal body weight in ounces of water.
- Acknowledge this is just a phase as your body is shifting and you will ultimately feel much better as your body adjusts. It is a GOOD thing that this is happening -- it means that your body is detoxifying and on its way to becoming a fat burner.
- Don’t let your blood sugar levels drop. If you feel hungry this probably means that you did not consume enough healthy fat. Remember that your healthy fat intake is unlimited on this program.

Alternatively, some people will not have any withdrawal symptoms and this is ok.
